OVERSEAS/OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS

If you reside outside of the Northland area normally, and need a maternity scan at any stage of your pregnancy, we are more than happy to accommodate you at EchoNorth it doesn’t matter where the referral is addressed to. Please take a photo of the referral and email it through to us and we can get you booked in.

NZ RESIDENTS

If you are a New Zealand resident, you need to bring with you a referral from an NZ registered Doctor or Midwife. If you have had previous scans during your pregnancy, please bring these with you, otherwise we will try to obtain copies of these reports so that the Sonographer can get a good understanding of the history of your pregnancy.

A report will be sent to your Doctor or Midwife with the results of your scan with us.

OVERSEAS VISITORS

As an overseas visitor, we are happy to scan you during your pregnancy, but please be aware that there is no Government funding available for your maternity care. As such, any scan you have with us will incur a cost of $280.00 per scan (as of 13th November 2023).

You will need a referral from a NZ registered Doctor or Midwife. Overseas referrals are not acceptable. If you have had previous scans during your pregnancy, we ask that you bring any reports or information with you to help the Sonographer get a good understanding of the history of your pregnancy.
